LTP left a dull finish on Marble wall tiles.

Asked by John Allen from Newcastle: |
I've installed polished marble tiles on the bathroom walls and then sealed them with a single coat of LTP Stone Sealer (as per the recommendation on on the packaging), the excess was then removed. This has left them looking a bit dull with a slight greasy residue. I've cleaned the residue off but they are still dull. Should I have sealed them at all and any advice about whether I can bring them back to a high polish would be apriciated as the client is now refusing to pay. It is three months since they were sealed.
Thanks

Polished Marble doesn't really take a lot of sealer, LTP stone sealer is not for Polished Marble they do one called MG which they recommend, either way the excess has to be taken off within 5 minutes otherwise it will smear and go dull. You will need to take off the old sealer with a product we sell called Remove and Go http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Remover.html and then they will have to be Polished again, which you will need a Machine and the correct Burnshing pads to help achieve this. http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/StoneBurnishingShop.asp
