150 year old floor with no damp membrane

I have a tiled floor which is circa 150 years old, quarry tiles or possibly terracotta, 9 inches square. I have got them reasonably clean but there is no damp membrane below them so they need to breathe. How can I protect them? |

Suggest you install a dehumdifier for a few days and then apply 7 or 8 coats of Tile Doctor Seal and Go with a Paint Pad on a Paint Pole and use a Paint tray, you can do big areas this way, Seal and Go is a Breathable sealer so will work where thier is no Damp Proofing present provided the Tiles where dry to start with, so Seal on a dry day incase the Water tables rise when it starts to rain.
