Opaque, grey stain on Limestone floor.

Asked by Karla Steel from UK: |
We have a new black limestone floor in the kitchen and the builders managed to stain it already from unknown causes. To make matters worse we dropped a full bottle of white wine and now a huge, opaque, grey stain has developed. Please could you advise on how to remove stains and how to seal afterwards? |

Limestone is a calcareous stone and therfore sensitive to acids, even white wine will stain them. Because of this you will either need to call out one of our local Tile Doctors to clean the Tiles and the stain, or hire a Buffing machine and a Wet Vac and get hold of a set of Burnishing pads http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/StoneBurnishingShop.asp, afterwards re-seal with 2 coats of Ultra-seal http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TD-Ultra-Seal.html.
