Cleaning Fossil Sandstone Floor Tiles

Asked by Paul Roberts from At Helens: Got fossil floor tiles in kitchen, hall & conservatory . What's best thing to get dirt off them , clean& seal them. Are they classed as sandstone ? They were allready in the house when we bought it . Need help [:)]

TileProf says: Sounds like Indian Fossil Stone, if it feels like Sandpaper to the touch then it is a Sandstone, you can clean these with Tile Doctor Pro-clean http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TileGroutCleaner.html and a Black Buffing pad http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TileBuffingShop.asp, if their is a sealer still present then you will need to use something stronger such as a 50/50 mix of Tile Doctor Remove and Go with Nano-clean. Rinse off after cleaning, leave to dry and then apply 4 coats of Tile Doctor Seal and Go for a nice Satin finish. Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Ltd
