Badly stained Terracotta due to damp proofing
|

Asked by Susan from West Sussex: |
Following chemical damp proofing our terracotta tiles are badly stained and several have been chipped. Short of replacing the entire floor what can we do to restore it. We have scrubbed on our hands and knees to get rid of the worst marks but have still been left with several splotches |

Thanks for the e-mail, best to strip the Terracotta of any old sealer and start again, you can follow our strip by step procedures on our website at http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Terracotta.html, the damaged Tiles will need to be lifted and replaced to get a good result.
