new grout too dark
Asked by Hannah from Dorset:
I have just had my floor tiled with very light tiles, i asked the tiler for a very light grey or sandstone colour as i didnt want the grout lines to be the first thing you saw. I have ended up with a medium grey (similar to your natural grey) which is way to dark and shows up the numerace mistakes they have made (like not matching tiles up and also the didnt use spacers so the grout lines are different thicknesses... they didn't do a very good job!) will the grout colourant work in this situation and does it have a good effect, i dont want it to look like i have painted the grout???? Thanks for the help
gpslancaster says:
Thanks for the e-mail, best to try the grout colourant (See link below), it will take away any blocthiness, shade variatons etc and replace the existing grout with the same tone of colour, either that or you rip up the old grout and start again.
