Hi I'm not sure what type of tiles the are - it's the original 1930's tiled floor with red tiles in a herringbone pattern and black and white checkerboard border. There some deep stains and residue of old polish. What is the best way to restore them to thier former beauty? Many thanks Shan |

Sounds more Like a Traditional Victorain Tile than a Standard Quarry Tile, so I suggest you click onto this link http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Victorian.html and follow the advice on how to restore them.
