!Ask the Tile Doctor your tile and grout cleaning and sealing questions

Asked by Helen Catt from Cornwall:	Hi, I've read your useful advice on how to clean travertine floors but although mine are only a year old some of the dirty marks look like smears of filler/grout (the tiles were filled when laid). Should I sand them down when I remover the sealant? Thanks,

gpslancaster says:	You may find that it is just a build of dirt and once cleaned successfully they may look normal again, if you do have a go at sanding, make sure you don't damage the Tile instead of the grout. Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Lancaster
