Cement and glue on tiles
|

Asked by Mark from Lincolnshire: |
we have an 1820's house with a front entrance which looks like the victorian tiles you show leading into a back part which is either a terracota or quarry tile. The back part looks like it has a mixture of cement and glue on it. It originally had a carpet on it when we moved in with gripper rods which were glued to the tiles. What would you suggest we use to get it back to its original form? Thank you |

Sounds like a Tough one, best to click onto this link http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Victorian.html, click on the PDF icon near the top and you will see how we cleaned up a really difficult Victorain floor Tile with the same problems as the ones you have described.
If you feel this is not for you to do, click onto The Home Service page http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/HomeService.asp and we will send someone out to you.
