scuff marks on ceramic floor tiles

Asked by Paula from Liverpool: We had ceramic floor tiles put down in bathroom last July. It said on the box they didn't need sealing. The problem is thy scuff very badly with shoe marks etc and always look dirty. Can you suggest something to treat them with or any other solution.

gpslancaster says: It doesn't sound like a good grade ceramic to work on, so I am not sure how well a sealer will work. Suggest you try a tester on a single Tile using Tile Doctor seal and Go, applied with a paint pad and left to dry for 30 minutes, if it drys flat and not sticky then this should stop the scuff marks, if however it doesnt dry at all wash off the excess and dont proceed any further as it would just make the Tiles sticky. p.s see this link for more info http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TD-Seal-Go.html Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Lancaster
