Cleaning

Asked by kev watts from Gloucester: Our hallway has cream and terracota floor tiles, the house is around 160yrs old and I'm guessing these tiles are original to the property...whilst the house was being renovated(not by us)the floor has clearly beeen splashed with wet plaster and cement which has been cleaned off but not very well..the tiles are all pretty grubby as well...what's the best way to restore them to their former glory(I dont think they have ever been sealed but who knows?)...I did try a tile cleaner(Liberon stone floor cleaner) from a local hardware store but that did little except lighten my wallet by £15!

TileProf says: Hi Kev, You would be best to try this link as it will take me 20 minutes to write it all out, but this link below we give you all the info you need to clean and seal these beautifull Tiles. Regards Russell at Tile Doctor http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Victorian.html
