tile adhesive on quarries

Someone has stuck ceramic tiles down on to quarries. the tiles come up easily but leave adhesive behind. How can I get this off please? |

Not easy as it will probably be a cement based adhesive and their isn no product that I know of that will get the cement off without damaging the Quarry Tiles underneath, the best mrthod to adopt would be a hammaer and chisel used at right angles.
