tumbled slate wall tiles stained by grout

Asked by sue from hampshire: Hi, our builders tiled and smothered our tumbled slate tiles (multi colour) with grey grout and then cleaned off with water - tiles appear dark like they have been stained by the grout (now 3 days later) the tiles were sealed with Fila slate protector pre grouting. Is there anything we can do to bring tiles back to natural look? many thanks

TileProf says: Hi Sue, If the sealer hadnt cured before the grouting commneced then this would have allowed the grout to get into the porse, mixed in with the sealer which has no doubt by now set itself in the pores with grout, thus making the Tile look darker than they were. If this is the case then all the new sealer needs to be stripped off using Tile Doctor Remove and Go mixed with Nano-tech ultra-clean 50/50 mix and then applied to the affected areas with a brush and left to dry for at least and hour or more and then scrubbend and rinsed with water and use a wet vac to suck it up with.
