Blotchy tiles
Asked by Jill from South Yorkshire:
We have had travetine tikes fitted throughout the downstairs of our new house. I am wondering if they need sealing more as they are attracting foot marks which are very difficult to remove. Also when the light shines on them they look very dull/matt in places, not even. My other thought is that there might be grout on them and we need to clean them and then seal them? Having not had travetine tiles before its hard to know what the should look like, but suspect they should all look the same?! Many thanks Jill

Hi Jill, Doesnt sound to good to me, the best answer would be to take all the sealer off and start again, click on the link below to show you how to do this sort of work. Regards Russell at Tile Doctor http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Travertine.html
