shine traetment onhearth

Asked by Lynda greening from felixstowe: can i apply the hi-shine treatment on my slate hearth that a wood burner is going to stand on or will the intense heat cause problems?
TileProf says: Thats a No on that, no Gloss sealer or satin finish sealer will last long near to a wood burner, sorry. Regards Russell at Tile Doctor
