We just moved into a 1915 Italian renassaince villa and discovered clay tiles under layers of flooring in our basement. They appear to be red clay,12 x 12. Problem: black adhesive stains from the layer of linoleum tiles removed. What is the best way to remove? Should we sand with a sander? The clay is very porous, no sealant remains~ we scratched one gently and found the red clay... any advice how to clean it in order to restore and seal? |
