Black bathroom wall tiles

Asked by Mike Goulding from Birmingham: |
We had a new bathroom fitted last May featuring large black wall tiles in the shower area with a "microdot" surface. Problem is that our cleaner sprayed the shower area with the last in a bottle of Mr Muscle "Shower Shine" which has left vertical streaks on the tile surface. I have tried using washing up liquid with a soft sponge (twice) and then a pressure steam cleaner which has had no impact at all. Help! I don't want to have to re-tile as it would mean a total re-fit as the tiles are no longer available. Thanks. Oh by the way, Birmingham is a soft water area. |

Hi Mike,
Not sure what type of Tiles they are but they must be Acid Sensitive so I would hazard a guess that they are either Marble or a Black Limestone, either way Mr Muscle will upset the surface.
You will need hand held machinery to fix this problem and an understanding of the correct procedure and materials to go with it, the best bet would be to call out a Tile Doctor for a satisfactory result.
