Sealing Tavertine & Marble Mosaics

I am putting a mosaics tavertine and marble mix tile on my kitchen wall. When do i have to coat with sealer.? A) before fixing = B) after fixing but before grout = C)or after grouting. How many coats of sealer would you recomend.? |

Hi Jim, best bet is to fix, then seal, then grout, then seal again, allowing for drying times between coats and Grouting. Try Tile Doctor Ultra-seal http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TD-Ultra-Seal.html for this 2 coats should, polish off any excess sealer within 5 minutes of applying it.
